GAFCON Christmas Meet, December 21, 2021
GAFCON Global Christmas Meet was held based on the theme “Yeshua – The Unspeakable Gift” in commemoration to the amalgamation of the Anglican Bishops Council of India (ABCI) under GAFCON Council last year. This was widely appreciated across the Christian fraternity and had the active participation of prominent church leaders across the nation.

Informal Session of GAFCON-ABCI held at Chennai, Oct 15, 2022
On October 15th 2021, Honorary members and Pastorate of the Anglican Bishop Council of India (ABCI) gathered at the ITC Hotel, Chennai on behalf of the GAFCON movement under the leadership of H S Abp. Dr. John Sathyakumar.

The history of Anglicanism was revisited to the roots of ACI dating to the 16th century, known as the Church of England in India. This led to the realization and understanding that the then Anglican Church of India existed as the parental body to all independent Protestant, Free Methodists, Baptists, and Presbyterian churches in India, including the CSI and CNI. The session ended with an informal declaration of the ACI as the parental body to all independent Christian organizations in India. Resolutions were made and submitted to Govt representatives requesting a formal repeal of the Uniform Civil Code to protect minorities.

The much-anticipated measure involving sincere efforts by the ABCI team under the leadership of H E Dr. John Sathiyakumar was finally completed furnishing all relevant details being duly submitted to the Official Gazette, Government of India at New Delhi.

Inaugural Session of GAFCON-ABCI

First Inaugural Session of GAFCON-ABCI was held at Chennai on July 21, 2022 to commemorate the inception of GAFCON and the ABCI Conglomerate in India

An inaugural session was held at Chennai involving high delegation from all over India and abroad. The session was punctuated with discussions followed by resolutions by the ABCI Council.
